Periyar University was established by the Act 45 of Government of Tamilnadu in 1997. The University is named after a renowned social reformer popularly called “Thanthai Periyar”. The University thus established had its origin with the three departments (Commerce, Geology and Mathematics) of Postgraduate extension center of Madras University functioning at Salem at that time.

First established as the Hyderabad Polytechnic Institute, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (name changed in 1972) is located in Hyderabad, India focusing mainly on engineering. CEE 2009: Kerala Entarance Examination 2009
The results of the CEE for Kerala medical and engineering entrance examinations will be announced on Monday. The results are avaialble at:
